Paes -Bhupathi Teams up to win olymbic medal in 2008

This year Olympic is going to held on Beijing. To win a medal in that Olympic game paes and bhupathi reunited to win a medal.Paes and bhupathi former no 1(during the year 2001) won three grand slam titles. They were nicknamed Indian Express.

Mahesh Bhupathi believes he and Leander Paes will have no trouble putting their off-the-court differences behind them at August's Olympic Games and says they can win a medal for India. Together they have played last match during december 2006 season for Doha asian games.

Their quarrel in Qatar was a public affair, with both members of the former Davis Cup pairing criticising each other after Paes questioned Bhupathi's fitness and commitment following India's early exit from the men's team event.

The lure of the Olympics appears to be too strong for either of them to ignore, however. Paes recently said he would be happy for them to reunite and Bhupathi told Reuters that he was sure they would do well together.

Paes already owns one Olympic medal -- a singles bronze from the 1996 Atlanta Games which remains the only medal India has won in tennis.

They want to be reunited to win a Olympic medal. If they won a medal We Indians can be proud of them......

Sania-Mahesh lose in mixed doubles final

In India Everyone expected Sania Pair to win finlas but unfortunately Indian mixed doubles pair Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi lost to the Chinese-Siberian pair of Sun Tiantian and Nenad Zimonjic in the final on Sunday.

The Indian pair lost to the fifth seeded duo of Tiantian and Zimonjic in straight sets 7-6, 6-4.

Sania and Mahesh played good tennis in the first set giving the fifth seeds a tough fight.

The set went to the tiebreaker but Sun and Zimonjic finally won it.

However, the second set was dominated by the Chinese-Serb pair as they went on to win the match in little over an hour to lift their first Grand Slam title together.

Australian open winner:Djokovic lifts Australian Open men's singles title

Novak Djokovic stood toe-to-toe with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and soaked up everything the Muhammad Ali of tennis could throw at him before delivering a knock-out blow to clinch the Australian Open title on Sunday.

Tsonga, nicknamed Ali for his resemblance to the former heavyweight boxing champion, was the crowd favourite to win his first Grand Slam but Djokovic was too solid and too steely and it was the Serb who snatched his first major title 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 7-6.

"I am very happy to have won my first Grand slam here," the third seed smiled to the crowd. "I hope to see you here in this position many times more.

"I want to thank all the Serbian fans who came here to support me — I am so proud to be the first Serbian to win a Grand Slam title. I think it will be crazy house back in Serbia right now."

Monica Seles won three Australian Open titles while competing under the Yugoslav flag from 1991-1993.

Unseeded Tsonga came out swinging, needing 49 minutes to clinch the opener and fuel his country's hopes he could become the first Frenchman to win the Open in 80 years.

Djokovic had dealt with world number one Roger Federer in the semis but initially he could not out-muscle his burly opponent.

Tsonga crunched aces and slammed winners, taking the match to the world number three and keeping him on his heels. But Djokovic is a determined character and kept gunning away.

His reward came in the seventh game of the second set. Djokovic earned a break point when he belted a backhand return past the Frenchman and dictated the next point before Tsonga sent a forehand wide. The World No. 3 pummelled his chest with his fist and marched to his seat.

Top 10 horror movies bw 60's and 80's

10. "Eraserhead" (1977)
David Lynch's cult classic is the closest thing to being stuck in a nightmare: Not much makes sense, but you get the feeling that nothing is quite right. Lynch employs dinners that walk off the plate, eerie silences that become deafening and an infant that makes Rosemary's baby seem cute and cuddly. So chilling it's damn near unwatchable.

9. "The Exorcist" (1973)
The real terror of "The Exorcist" may not involve Satan and possession, but the helplessness of a parent trying to save a child. Of course, a ton of harrowing special effects and director William Friedkin's somber respect for the supernatural subject matter doesn't hurt either. It's horror for grown-ups.

8. "Halloween" (1978)
John Carpenter's film is blamed for the rash of slasher films that destroyed the genre in the '80s, but "Halloween" possesses a style and intensity that most of its copycats lack. From the opening sequence -- when we see through the eyes of little boy Michael Myers as he stalks and murders his sister -- onward, the film relies on suspense rather than sensationalism. Our fear is caused by what might happen rather than actual events, as Carpenter spends a good amount of time in darkness, making us see things that may or may not be there.

7. "Don't Look Now" (1973)
Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie head to Venice to forget the tragic accidental death of their child. However, it's impossible to forget when the dead child keeps reappearing. Nicolas Roeg's labyrinthine film is rich in dreamlike atmosphere and works on a purely psychological level: It disorients, frustrates and builds to a horrible climax, reminding that tragedy can never be forgotten ... and neither can this film.

6. "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (1974)
A group of annoying teens make a wrong turn on a road trip through Texas and encounter the most dysfunctional family imaginable. It's a teen exploitation flick shot like a documentary. Wonderfully grim, mean and inhumane, director Tobe Hooper's debut doesn't spill much blood, instead opting to giddily, relentlessly torture and chase its audience (much like Leatherface treats his victims) for 80 minutes. It feels like days.

5. "Nightmare on Elm Street" (1984)
Before dream-killer Freddy Krueger became a quipping pop-culture reference, he represented the most twisted monster unleashed on the public since Halloween's Michael Myers. Seeking vengeance by slicing and dicing the children of the parents who murdered him, Freddy scared the hell out of Cineplex audiences. His on-screen entrance remains terrifying, as does much of director Wes Craven's surreal, smart and shocking masterpiece.

4. "Suspiria" (1977)
"Suspiria" is a full-on sensory assault by Italian horror master Dario Argento, the cinematic equivalent of an anxiety attack. A poor American ballet student arrives in Europe and Argento berates her with weather, grisly murders, a possible coven of witches, his virtuosic camera, and possible the freakiest score ever conceived (by the director himself). The plot barely makes sense, so just let it terrorize you.

3. "Night of the Living Dead" (1968)
A group of kids get trapped inside a farm house by an endless stream of flesh-eating zombies. Sounds silly, but director George Romero takes his simple premise and redefines the genre with a shoestring budget. The amount of sadistic gore, the claustrophobic tension, the rising levels of hysteria and an increasingly deflated awareness that a happy ending is impossible make this a nasty classic. There is no hope here, only suffocating terror.

2. Repulsion (1965)
Director Roman Polanski did more horror afterward, with "Rosemary's Baby" and "The Tenant," but this -- a menacing, nightmarish profile of one woman's descent into madness -- may be his most realized effort. Catherine Denueve embodies sexual repression as a young woman left alone in her apartment -- and to her deluded fantasies -- for the weekend. The film is nearly silent, creating a mounting mood of dread. Try watching it alone with the lights off and see how long you last.

1. "Psycho" (1960)
Alfred Hitchcock's blueprint for contemporary horror: More than just a film, "Psycho" was a cultural slap in the face. Censors wanted to ban it, while screaming audiences couldn't get enough of it. Hitch employs all of his tricks -- shifting audience sympathies, killing off the main character halfway through the film and a ton of macabre humor -- but more importantly he makes the horror internal. Norman Bates isn't a monster in the classic sense; he suggests that the greatest evil can lurk beneath the quietest, most pleasant surface.

NASA images spark life on Mars speculations

Life on Mars? Well, bizarre images have emerged showing a mystery female figure walking down a hill on the arid planet.

The photo of what looks like a naked woman with her arm outstretched was among several taken on the red planet and sent back to Earth by NASA's Mars explorer Spirit, the Daily Mail reported on Wednesday, citing an unnamed website.

Though no official confirmation has come from NASA whether the figure is an alien or an optical illusion caused by a landscape on Mars, it has set the Internet abuzz that there really is life on Mars.

As one enthusiast put it on the website, "These pictures are amazing. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw what appears to be a naked alien running around on Mars."

The news of the mystery woman on Mars came just days after a team of French scientists claimed to have discovered proof that the red planet possesses high-level dense clouds of dry ice, which scud across its orange sky.

Using data obtained by the OMEGA spectrometer on board ESA's Mars Express, the team found the existence of the ice clouds which sometimes become so dense that they throw quite dark shadows on the dusty surface of the red planet.

"This is the first time that carbon dioxide ice clouds on Mars have been imaged and identified from above. This is important because the images tell us not only about their shape, but also their size and density."

"Previously, we had to rely on indirect information. However, it is very difficult to separate the signals coming from the clouds, atmosphere and surface," according to lead scientist Franck Montmessin of the Service d'Aeronomie at University of Versailles.

Understanding a women- what they say and what they mean

Women are sometimes hard to understand. Here are some hints to get to know wat they really mean.

ARE YOU WILLING TO: This means you better do it.

FINE: This is the word women use to end an argument when they feel they are right and you need to shut up. Never use "fine" to describe how a woman looks. This will cause you to have one of "those" arguments.

FIVE MINUTES: This is half an hour. It is equivalent to the five minutes that your football game is going to last before you take out the trash, so it's an even trade.

NOTHING: This means "something" and you should be on your toes. "Nothing" is usually used to describe the feeling a woman has of wanting to turn you inside out, upside down, and backwards. "Nothing" usually signifies an argument that will last "Five Minutes" and will end with the word "Fine".

GO AHEAD (With Raised Eyebrows): This is a dare. One that will result in a woman getting upset over "Nothing" and will end with the word "Fine".

GO AHEAD (Normal Eyebrows): This means "I give up" or "do what you want because I don't care". You will get a "Raised Eyebrow Go Ahead" in just a few minutes, followed by "Nothing" and "Fine", and she will talk to you in about "Five Minutes" when she cools off.

LOUD SIGH: This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot at that moment, and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here arguing with you over "Nothing".

SOFT SIGH: Again, not a word, but a non-verbal statement. "Soft Sigh" means that she is content. Your best bet is not to move or breathe, and she will stay content.

THAT'S OKAY: This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can make to a man. "That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before paying you back for whatever it is that you have done. "That's Okay" is often used with the word "Fine" and in conjunction with a "Raised Eyebrow Go Ahead". At some point in the near future, you are going to be in some mighty big trouble.

PLEASE DO: This is not a statement, it is an offer. A woman is giving you the chance to come up with whatever excuse or reason you have for doing whatever it is that you have done. You have a fair chance with the truth, so be careful and you shouldn't get a "That's Okay".

THANKS: A woman is thanking you. Do not faint. Just say "you're welcome".

THANKS A LOT: This is much different than "Thanks". A woman will say "Thanks A Lot" when she is really ticked off at you. It signifies that you have offended her in some callous way, and will be followed by the "Loud Sigh". Be careful not to ask what is wrong after the "Loud Sigh" as she will only tell you "Nothing".

Data types: A basic in C

Data Types:
Data type is used to specify what kind of data we are going to use to the computer.
There are three data types available in 'C'. They are
This is used to store integer without decimal point.
There are four types of integer they are
-short(1 bytes)
-int(2 bytes)
-long(4 bytes)
-long double(8 bytes)
Integer has two bytes of size to store data. Int can store -32768 to 32767. Let us see how this number is got.
2 byte has 16 bits.
1 bit for indicating sign 0-Positive and 1- negative.
Remaining 15 bits is used to store numbers. 2 power 15 is 32768. We can store -32768 to 32767.
Same way for long int it has size 4 bytes.
In unsigned int and long int there is no sign bit and all are positive numbers.

Real numbers has decimal point. There are two types of real number and they are
Float(4 bytes)
Double(8 bytes)
These are expressed with mantissa and exponent. The component before decimal point is mantissa and after the decimal point is exponent.

Char is one byte and it is used to store 128 characters with their ASCII value.

Racial discrimination in Malaysian hindu festival..

Malaysia's disgruntled ethnic Indian community marked one of Southeast Asia's biggest Hindu festivals in muted fashion on Wednesday, with members divided over a national racial discrimination row.

The Thaipusam festival is normally a boisterous, crowded affair, but attendance this year was markedly down at the main venue, the Batu Caves temple complex atop a steep hill on the edge of the capital.

Members of the Hindu community are divided over the temple management's behaviour last year during violent protests involving thousands of ethnic Indians demonstrating against racial discrimination.

As expectations grow that the government will call early elections by March, the protests and temple row have the potential to divide Indian voters, who, despite making up just 7 per cent of Malaysia's 26 million population, can sometimes influence marginal constituencies or policy.

Rowdy protests by more than 10,000 members of the community last year were stopped only by police using water cannon, batons and tear gas. Many ethnic Indians were outraged when Hindu leaders at the Batu Caves complex handed to authorities dozens of protesters who had sought shelter there.

Although no specific group demanded a boycott, domestic media have said a campaign waged by telephone text messages and Internet blogs fuelled the antagonistic sentiment.

"I have seen a smaller number of people this year," said S Manikavasagam, a spokesman for the Hindu Rights Action Force that organised November's protest, but which denied having called for a boycott. "The people have shown their protest against the government and the temple management by staying away."

A spokesman for Works Minister Samy Vellu, the senior Indian leader in Malaysia's ruling coalition, dismissed claims of fewer visitors, saying that temple officials expect one million Hindus to have visited the shrine by the end of Wednesday. "Today is a public holiday for the first time, so it is less congested with traffic than usual," said E Sivabalan.

"(Also) The entire area has been redesigned to provide additional space for people to move about, so it is not as cramped as usual." Visitors said there were fewer vehicles in the usually crowded streets near the temple, while officials seeking donations received just a sprinkling of one-ringgit notes, and shopkeepers said they had done less business than usual.

Around 7 per cent of Malaysia's 26 million people are ethnic Indians whose forefathers were brought to the Southeast Asian country as labourers by British colonial rulers.

Many complain of racial discrimination and some accuse the government of trying to wipe out their culture by imposing Islamic laws and targeting Hindu temples. For some, the row was not enough to stop their devotions.

"The god doesn't care which temple you go to, but I came here because I don't want to break the family custom of many years," said Kartik Manimaran, a slim 26-year-old garbed in yellow, who carried a semi-circular wooden shrine up 272 steep stairs.

"But many of my friends have decided to go to other temples because they felt the temple management acted unfairly."

Shocking News For me..

Yesterday was my cousins wedding. I was happily enjoying the wedding function with my family. Suddenly one of my friend called me and said Dravid and Ganguly are dropped from the squad. It was very shocking for me and i was very much worried why they dropped dravid and ganguly.
Reason for Gangulys omission:
Niranjan Shah said - The emphasis was on fielding abilities and they [the team management] wanted a young fielding side for the series. Ganguly has managed 231 runs at 25.66 in nine innings.
This average for odi series was calculated before pakistan and aussie test series. Now he is the man in prime form with more than 75 (avg) in last 6 test matches with 2 hundred(one double hundred) and 4 fifties.
See yuvraj -he is struggling like anything against australian attack even the county of australia. In all 7 innings he played in australia he was walked out before reaching double digit but he is in the side.
In 2000-01 and 2003-04 we one only two odi against australia in VB series because Sachin, Ganguly,Laxman and Dravid. Dravid also regained his touch in australia.
Ganguly and dravid are well set in australia. Dropping them will affect them mentally against australia in the fourth test.
Laxman is a specialist against australia. This is not a right time to test youngster that to in australia. Definitly we will be struggle a lot against srilanka itself.
God only knows what the selectors are doing.

Trigraphs in C

Trigraphs are a sequence of three ISO 646 characters that get treated as if they were one character in the C alphabet; all of the trigraphs start with two question marks ?? which helps to indicate that ‘something funny’ is going on. Table below shows the trigraphs defined in the Standard.

C Character Trigraph
# ??=
[ ??(
] ??)
{ ??<
} ??>
\ ??/
| ??!
~ ??-
^ ??'

As an example, let's assume that your terminal doesn't have the # symbol. To write the preprocessor line "#define MAX 32767" isn't possible;

Then you must use trigraph notation instead: "??=define MAX 32767 "

Of course trigraphs will work even if you do have a # symbol; The trigraphs are there to help in difficult circumstances more than to be used for routine programming.

The ? ‘binds to the right’, so in any sequence of repeated ?s, only the two at the right could possibly be part of a trigraph, depending on what comes next—this disposes of any ambiguity.

It would be a mistake to assume that programs written to be highly portable would use trigraphs ‘in case they had to be moved to systems that only support ISO 646’. If your system can handle all 96 characters in the C alphabet, then that is what you should be using. Trigraphs will only be seen in restricted environments, and it is extremely simple to write a character-by-character translator between the two representations. However, all compilers that conform to the Standard will recognize trigraphs when they are seen.

* Trigraph substitution is the very first operation that a compiler performs on its input text.

'Gay Jesus' angers Aussie church leaders

A controversial play that depicts Jesus being seduced by Judas and conducting a gay marriage for two apostles has been condemned by church leaders ahead of its opening in Sydney.

The Anglican Bishop of South Sydney, Robert Forsyth, expressed his outrage at the plot of Corpus Christi on Sunday, calling the play "historical nonsense".

"It is deliberately, not innocently, offensive and they're obviously having a laugh about it," he told the Sun-Herald newspaper. "I wouldn't want to go and see it. Life's too short."

Set to open on February 7 as part of Sydney's annual Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras festival, Corpus Christi depicts Jesus and his followers as gay, and ends with Jesus being crucified.

Despite critical acclaim, the play provoked protests and bomb threats when it was performed in the United States.

Playwright Terrence McNally received a death edict, or fatwa, from a UK-based Islamic group, which declared it blasphemous when the play ran in London in 1999.

McNally, who is gay, has said he wrote the piece to explore parallels between Christ's persecution and the rejection he faced as a young gay man growing up in Texas.

Sydney Mardi Gras organizers describe it on the festival Web site as "a play that speaks out against inhumanity by providing a witty, contemporary interpretation of Jesus' life" . Director Leigh Romney, who is staging the work in Australia, rejected accusations the play mocks Christ.

Rowney said that as a Christian himself, he was keen to provoke debate.

"I wanted this play in the hands of a Christian person like myself to give it dignity but still open it up to answering questions about Christianity as a faith system," Rowney said.
